About FHL

Established in February of 1997, Faith, Hope & Love, a non-profit corporation affiliated with Romance Writers of America®, seeks to support, educate, and encourage published and unpublished writers of fiction written from a Christian worldview. This chapter is national and international with members in Canada, Australia, and elsewhere.

FHL offers its members these services:

1. FHL produces a bimonthly newsletter, HEREIN IS LOVE, which includes inspirational market updates, member promotion of awards and sales, and articles on writing techniques, etc. The newsletter is available via email attachment in PDF format or it can be read on-line in either HTML or PDF format in the Members Only section of the web site.

2. FHL maintains a database to assist interested members in finding a compatible critique partner. For more information about the critique database, go to the Members Only section of the web site.

3. FHL hosts its annual TOUCHED BY LOVE CONTEST to help aspiring inspirational writers improve their skills. The chapter also sponsors the INSPIRATIONAL READERS CHOICE CONTEST to honor the best in inspirational romantic fiction.

4. FHL holds its annual general meeting each year at the RWA® National Conference (normally held at the end of July/early August).

5. FHL sponsors a Yahoo Group where members can exchange publishing information, discuss writing issues, receive encouragement, etc. Over 180 members participate in the email group FHL also hosts Q&A email workshops with guest authors (past guests include Francine Rivers, Jerry Jenkins, Bodie Thoene), agents Natasha Kern), and editors Becky Nesbitt, Karen Ball).

6. FHL's Golden Heart Incentive Program gives members a chance to have their entry fee for RWA's® contest reimbursed.

7. FHL seeks to encourage its members through special projects.
