The FHL blog has hit a late summer slump and submissions are low. We know you’re busy traveling and enjoying the great outdoors, but we’d love to hear from you. Our desire is to feature content from every chapter member. Additionally, there are some new ways for our members to participate:
Top of the Peak: Share your latest writing success and what inspired you to write the novel or short story. We want to celebrate with you! Passion for our projects keeps our fingers on the keyboard. Your news motivates others to keep writing.
My View From Here: 300 words or less. This will be a regular feature of the FHL blog. We invite members to submit creative photos or video of the view from where they’re writing. Options include featuring different vignettes of your writing space, or any remote location where you are working. Creativity is encouraged. Is your MS spread out across the floor while you rearrange and make edits? Are you working from a coffee shop today? Who gifted you that figurine on your writing desk and why is it special to you? Take video of that babbling brook you’re camped next to. Share famous quotes, Scripture, or poetry to coordinate with the setting. Don’t forget to include a brief description of your work in progress. Feel free to submit as often as you’d like.
My Book Shelf: Members share what they’re reading in 250 words or less.
Who’s Your Fav Writer?: Interview your favorite writer using your personalized questions or we can supply them. The writer doesn’t have to be a member of FHL.
Leave a comment if you would like to receive an email with information about how to submit.
